It's basically a straight forward install except the wire is very stiff and doesn't mold around the chain, which makes it difficult to have it hang right. The pendant hood is a bit wonky. It's not necessarily bad but if you like things exactly symmetrical it may bother you. We're keeping it because we worked so hard to get it to sit right, but if I would've known I wouldn't have bought it. It's a good price though! And, in the end.. it's cute.
